Ep.13/ Reclaiming Your Inner Power Player with Human Design
TL:DR - Awareness (of your mind, body, and outer context) = Power
Given current events, it’s worth being aware of where your energy (and power) is going.
We’re at the cusp of many old structures shifting. In some ways we can probably predict, and in other ways we aren’t nearly yet aware of.
In the last few years, we’ve also seen lots of cult and cult-like organizations cropping up into the collective awareness. Lots of (good, thoughtful) folks have been swindled out of their birthright: their own internal knowing and wisdom.
And so it’s worth considering: are you in touch with
YOUR internal knowing and wisdom?
If not, let’s talk about some ways to do just that, so that you can pull your energy and power back to you, where it belongs!
First (obvi), it’s worth getting a Human Design Reading, or at the very least, your Human Design Chart. There’s info in there about a few things that are particularly salient when it comes to owning your personal power:
Authority. How are you making decisions? If you do nothing else with Human Design, at the very least, learn YOUR authority — what it is, how it works, and how it feels in YOUR body.
Definition. Based on definition in your Head, Ajna, and Throat centers, you can gain a ton of insight about what types of conversations and thought processes are energetically correct for you. Some of us are designed to have more fluid, lightly held opinions; others of us have opinions. Neither’s right or wrong, and it’s helpful to know your design, so that you can navigate with a little bit more ease!
The Arrows (aka the transformations). Based on your arrows, you may or may not be someone who’s designed to be in the weeds of the wider world. Knowing this information about yourself can help you keep your focus where it’s most beneficial to you and the folks around you.
Additionally, there are a few questions/ideas that are worth reflecting on:
Where is your information coming from? Don’t give your power away to sources of information that may or may not be true, particularly if the physical sensation they bring isn’t on the up and up.
Who benefits from the thought processes you’re hearing/reading/witnessing/having? There’s not a right or wrong here, but if you know who might benefit, you’re better equipped to make solid, well informed choices.
What do YOU think? Take some time away from inputs — what does YOUR mind tell you?
How does your body respond? This goes hand in hand with getting to know your authority. Your mind can rationalize ANYTHING. That’s it’s literal job. Your body CANNOT lie. The more in touch you are with your body and how it communicates, the more powerful you are, by default. Note: getting in touch with your body can be challenging if you’re someone with a history of trauma or abuse. I recommend having a qualified therapist who can help you navigate regulating your nervous system and getting re-acquainted with your body from the inside.
Is the thought you’re thinking actually true? Sometimes maybe yes, sometimes maybe not… What OBJECTIVE (measurable, observable, if the data were presented in court everyone would agree) data is available that supports or debunks that thought?
Do you even need to have an opinion? Sometimes simply withdrawing your attention and energy is enough.
Are you afraid of your own knowing? What changes if you’re in charge of yourself, fully? What happens if you accept full responsibility for you? Again, there are no wrong answers. And, for many of us, it can be scary to stand strong on our own two feet and take ownership for our own lives.
